I think that Silicone Gel Sheet (SGS) is a treatment for keloids and hypertrophic scars that has spread out all over the world with little supporting evidence on its efficacy. However, the fact that patients indicate that their symptoms were receded is enough proof for us to use the SGS. However, we need to clarify scientifically the mechanism of the effect of SGS. Furthermore, I want to examine and evaluate the possible use of Polyethylene Gel Sheet (PGS), which has been used a clinical trial in cooperation with some institutions of plastic surgery.
